I've just picked up my new car, fancied one of these for a while so figured i'd go check it out. haven't had chance to get a really good look around and under it but doesn't look too bad so far, bit of bubbling on the arches. it sure drives pretty well and did the 110 miles of town and country, motorway and M25 traffic on the way home with no problems. here's a pair of pics from the advert untill i take some of my own. as you can see, it's bone stock, this may or may not change.

I've had a few of them and love 'em. Really good fun tio drive. Watch out for the small cooling hoses failing, especially behind the engine. If they go pop, you get little to no warning before the engine is utterly cooked.

cheers. had a look underneath it today as i managed to drive it into the workshop rather then laying down in a puddle... both rears of the sills have been bodged repaired so that will need sorting and also a bit on one rear chassis leg needs doing. three of the arches have bubbling and there are various little scrathes around the body, nothing to bad. i'll obviously do the welding and will most likely get the arches repaired and painted too. interior is mint. so no probs there, engine goes well but does need some attention and needs little things like a replacement fast idle valve and i think the TPS needs setting up to. a general good service and set up will get it sweet

In your hands, this is going to be one of the best examples around without doubt.

well it's decided. i've brought a set of alloys for it. now i've gotta figure out how to fit them lots of camber will need to be added and i'll drop it a little too, not too much mind as i want to keep this very useable. i've sorted out a better headunit and ordered up some new speakers to make the most of it. also added a cup holder too ;D i've also gotta source a central locking motor to fit to the drivers door so that that works with the alarm. i've got the engine running a lot better now too. the throttle position sensor was not working properly and was giving the ecu bad signals. i originally thought the engine was a little slow and was thinking i'd have to fit a DET to liven it up but now that the engines working right i don't think it needs it. could really do with another set of struts for it so i can customise them for my suspension plans.... ;D

i guess i should end this thread. the sunny ran out of tax and due to the rust issues i decided it was best to break it. had a guy come down from Sheffeild to remove a load of the parts like brakes, fuel tank, anti roll bars and some other parts. the interior got fully stripped, including all the electiric windows, mirrors, central locking as thats all going into Max's N13 hatch. along with the bumpers, skirts and front spoiler. was a nice car to drive and i'd deff recomend one. just make sure it's not to rusty or you don't mind repairing it.

Oh well. Was advertised as 'the best in UK' or something like that, and looked like a good'un in the pics. I guess you can never be 100% sure.
