The carb on my E10 is a little sick. I haven't given up on fixing it (yet) but a little keen eyed searching turned up this: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320983930863?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649These are new Chinese made "A12" carbs, presumably a copy of the slightly bigger DCG-306. Anyway, it's got me thinking as to whether this would be a potential upgrade. According to haynes manual, the spec of the A12 carb is basically the same apart from a bigger secondary chamber and slightly enlarged jets on the secondary side. What do people think? Would it work and if so any benefit over the standard carb?

that copy carb seams a bit of a bodge. i can't see how the jetting would be the same for all the different engine sizes.
it would probably run ok, but the fueling would not be optimized and the engine may not get as good fuel economy or performance as Nissan intended. thou i guess most people would not notice much of a difference.....
as for whether it's be any good for your A10 engine, who knows? it might be better then what you've got if your current carb is giving you problems?

Following a bit of googling and looking at pics online my guess is it's designed for the A12. Perhaps a DCG306-5B 16010-H6100? Some possible clues here: 0086parts.com/auto/product/carburetor.pdfGonna email the guy and see if he has a part number.

He's emailed me to say the part number is 16010-H1602. As far as I can tell it is an exact copy of the DCG-306. There's no way to tell how it's jetted but they seem to be marketed as for A12 engines (perhaps they're built for the Forklift market?)
He's willing to send them a little cheaper than stated on the eBay listing. I'm gonna wait and see if I can fix my original carb, but it's good to know that new parts are still available.
