I thought something dramatic was happening like you were selling it! As a former owner of it I'm chuffed to see it still with us and in such good shape.

Well I must say it's very very quiet on here so I thought let's see if I could ignite some old flames by talking about YPK.
Well as most know I went through hell and back and after all that effort she was completed and put away. So this year I decided to bring her out to some shows and drive her. I sourced a used correct SSS rev counter and installed it. At the same time I messed with things I should nt have a lost headlights. Went through a strip down on the wiring loom to discover a wire connector had lost connection. That only took 4 days of dashboard out. Then I stole the wheels from my 610 and out them on YPK which in my opinion look suuuuuuuuuperb. I then remade a wiring loom from the ECU to the mass meter as sometimes the car would miss fire so that was sorted.
I then had her MOT'd and took advantage of the hot summer nights and went out on long drives down country roads and really opened her up. I was very impressed in the performance of the engine conversion. When she was first completed I treated her so fragile and never really put my foot down but this has all changed. Hope your still awake and I haven't bored you, now for the traditional photos.

And all this love for the 810 is because of my Dads 810 that I grew up with.

Great to see your dad's old one Ricky. Sadly it only lasted to 1989, according to DVLA.
YPK looks great on those wheels, glad to hear you're still gradually improving it. Means a lot to me in particular, certainly a bit different to when I had it - must be getting on for 20 years ago since I first bought it down in Kent.

Thanks Nigel. If ever you want to reminisce be by guest and take her for a day trip or a weekend. My Dad's 810 was amazing, I learnt all my amateur skills on it. She took us everywhere. My Dad kept her well maintained and she had 3 full re sprays. But in the end the dreaded rust kept coming and by this time he had purchased the facelift T72 from nissan on a G reg. the 810 was then used as a second car then slowly solely faded out and parked up in the garage. That's then when I use to tinker about. When my Dad wanted to move back to London from Northampton it wasn't worth bringing her so she was scrapped.
