Cheapest is to use S12 lowering springs or custom springs... S13 coilovers are lower but require S13 hubs and you have to mess around with the top mounts and the track rods.
Brakes - I'd say you might be able to use S12 hubs, discs and calipers on the existing 910 leg. If you use S13 coilovers that opens the world up in terms of modification. I fitted BMW M3 310mm discs with 300ZX calipers for example

I used S13 coilovers with S13 brakes. If you have the s13 hubs and brakes, then you only have to re-drill the strut tower.. Nothing major. I could re-use the 910 track rods. At ther rear you can use s13 coilovers and the only thing you need to adjust is the top mount. Swap over the 910 top mount on the S13 coilover and Bob's your uncle.. Almost a one on one conversion..

Just a thought - so as to keep things simple. I reckon that the 910 estate has bigger bore cylinders than saloons & coupes at the rear. That might improve the rear drums a little. Also ... to make the best of the standard brakes.... who makes braided hoses for the 910's? (as the fronts have those weird fittings to attach to the calipers). Ed

Why waste time to improve the rear brakes? Only a small part of the stopping energy will be at the rear brakes. Upgrade the front brakes with S13 stuff ( phase 2 S13 uses 280mm brakes!) and you'll be sorted for street and track use.
And the handbrake with the drum brakes are much better if you have good drums and shoes..

hi Dave. good to have you on here. you Aussies ended up with some unusual combinations due to your rules about using locally sourced parts and/or being locally built. why don't you stick up some threads about some of your cars in the members section? I'm sure people would like to see or read about them
