Our 1978 Cherry F11 Estate appears to pull to the near side under hard( well everything is relative so could be brisk) acceleration, even with an 1100 engine.
Not being familiar with Datsun's I do not know if this is normal?
The steering rack is held on by 2 different brackets, the thinner one appears to be rather out of shape and I wonder if this could be the cause?
Has anybody got one I could buy?

Sounds very unlikley to be the cause , more likely to be front arm bushes, worn trackrods or even rack. have you tried getting someone to rock the car in gear while you look to see if there is movement in anything? Peugeot 405s were bad for the front arm bushes and you could see the front wheels moving about all over the place with a bit of manipulation.

yeh check all bushings. maybe get someone to sit in the car and apply the foot brake, then get them to rock the steering side to side whilst you look underneath at all the suspension mountings to see if there's any unusual movement.
