I recently wrote to the proprietor of the garage where my B11 was bought new in 1983. It's still trading though nowadays is a Proton dealership. I got a very nice reply from the MD, a lady called Maragaret whose late husband took over the Datsun franchise there in the mid 70s. She sent me this photo of the place in the mid/late 80s so it would have looked the same as this when my car was new.

Thats very cool, lots of places would have just either binned the letter or long changed hands, become part of a group or worse a PLC.

Shows the differences in the ages though too, just 3 cars lengthways on the forecourt in the old photo whereas now they are packed in tighter to get more on the front to try and make a few quid.
