yep, bog stock 1.4 12valve manual.
this will end up with the full interior and lecy windows n stuff as well as the front n rear spoilers plus some other bits n bobs from the sunny ZX i'm breaking.
also will gain some nice old style alloys, a bit of paintwork alteration and a little bit of lowering.
hoping to end up with a good, comfy, usable daily runaround with some cool retro mods.

Your not breaking the zx sunny you just purchased are you yep. it's got a fair few rust issues and as we've got plans for pretty much all the bits off it, it's an obvious choice. the engine will end up going into one of my datsuns for instance ;D

I had an estate of this model and someone whacked into me at about 30mph as I was pulling out at the lights (green!) Front took the impact but the cabin didn't deform at all that I could see. Her Corolla was a mess but she walked away. A write off that helped pay for my wonderful MS75 Crown.

so a deal has been done and now i've taken ownership of this over the N14 hatch i bought. i'll sort a load more pics out when i get the chance, but for now i'm sorting out some mechanical issues. one of the previous owners replaced the clutch on this, but there is a whining noise when the clutch is depressed so i think the release bearing is shot, or maybe it's just a really rubbish cheap clutch. either way, i've bought a Japanese clutch kit and will be fitting that. also the outer driveshaft joints are well worn so i've got some replacements for them and will do them at the same time. as well as that.... i'm going to clean up and paint and waxoil underneath while i'm at it. so. breakfast new clutch kit and how car currently looks hopefully this won't take too long....

uggh. well. the clutch is sorted now, looks like it was just worn out release bearing as expected. but the driveshaft joints i have are wrong so can't replace them. though at least it will be an easy job to do once i do have the correct ones now i've unseized and copper greased all the bolts.

right. well... the clutch job was done and finished. not sorted the driveshaft joints yet though. but i have done a load of other work to it. i've cleaned up and undersealed underside of car. not everything, just where it was needed. i've swapped wheels around and have had to roll the arches to get some clearance back. still need to lower the front suspension, which i'll prob do just by replacing the front springs with some cut down ones from a ZX. i've tinted out the windows and fitted the bumpers and side skirts from the ZX. i will be painting the lower half of the car, either black or the metallic green that the bumpers are. i've fitted arch trims as well which i think look pretty good. just need to sort the ride height out and i'll be happy.

I'm more a lover of the factory fresh look (as can be seen from my own gold N13), but this will look fantastic once you get the ride height down and the lower half painted in the same colour as the ZX bumpers/skirts.
Cool.
