I've read several threads about members cobbling together an exhaust system from odd bits that they have. Is it just that simple as finding any old boxes that will fit under the car and then bending up some of the pipes to fit? If so, I will look out for some S/steel ones at an auto jumble and give it a go. It must save a lot of money.... eh? Leigh

suppose thats all custom exhaust places do, i would have had a go if i had equipment to weld stainless. Obviously got to get bore/box sizes farily accurate, too small being restrictive, too big too loud (unless thats the idea )

I'm always making exhausts. and more often then not i just buy a cheap system and cut and shut it to fit.
But you won't be able to bend it up yourself, also it's quite an involved job to keep trial fitting it, marking it up then welding it up.
either get someone to do it who has the facilities or wait for a proper one to turn up.
