After my Camry estate got hit up the back and written-off in late 2013 (still on my driveway, awaiting repair one day), I've had a modern Avensis diesel estate as my daily driver. Reasonable economy on that is countered by this thing: Lexus update by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr My first V8! Bought cheaply off a banger racer who felt it was too good to race, I feared the worst when it came to a recent MoT but it sailed through with just headlamp alignment being necessary. Good fun to drive, as the dirt suggests I've been using it quite a bit over the winter when I don't drive the Laurel.

Audi A1 TDi S line, fully loaded, super comfortable, reliable, quiet. Every thing I need from a daily runner. Admittedly I only use it on weekend because I commute by train.

Need to get rid of some, had lots for more than 10 years, .... I make that 33 cars. I suggest you ditch a couple of the A10s. I'll take them off you.

Oh and a 1984ish Metro Turbo (£1200 2010 and still not picked up out the barn it's been for 20 years)
Sometimes takes a while for me to get over and collect cars and bits (sorry Will, Malcolm Yule, Raf) but I always get there in the end.
Leigh, if you had a garage to keep it in, you could have borrowed the White A10 Saloon when finished!

128 Coupe was very good considering. It was bought new in Australia in 1974, brought here in 1976 when Ray Hall, a Fiat (Martin Walters) mechanic bought it, he used it for 10 years and then built a conservatory and put it in his house!!! 22 Years later he loaded it into a trailer and took it to Ling Metals in Canterbury (Scray Yard) and got £80 for it. Luke (an employee) bought it off work and took it home, decided as it was the only one remaining (Sports Coupe) (apparently) he took it back to work to scrap it, on the way he got an emergency call and dumped the car at Motech (mot station in the sticks) and told he would collect later that day, three months went by, trees lost their leaves and I drive past and see it! I was driving past in my Citroen Visa and caught a glimpse of it in the corner of my eye, I impulsively rip the handbrake up hard and actually lost control a little (I was doing 60 odd) Slam the Shitty Citroen in reverse pull over and I ask if the Fiat is for sale, they say no, I ask who owns it and they won't tell me, I go back the next day and ask a different person who owns it, the worker rings Luke (from Ling Metals) and Luke say's he can't sell it as it must be destroyed, I tell him to cut the numbers out the chassis and engine and I will buy as is and wait for a basket case V5er to come along, he sees my enthusiasm and asks to speak to me, I recognise his voice and as it turns out I know him, he sells it to me!!! Numbers intact!!! I mot and take back to Ray Hall, pull up outside his house, he sees car, cries, gives me a hug and is very happy, I empty his loft of 30 years worth of 128 spares! I do the obvious and buy a Fiat Uno Turbo for the turbo bits and take both Fiats to Avanti Motorsport in Cornwally area, I unload Fiat 128 from car trailer and reverse transit hard and slam on brakes whilst some passer by holds my camera phone and films the moment the Uno falls off the back of the Transit straight onto the road and doesn't even catch the bumper on my towbar as feared. Both cars still waiting for me to collect and do something, nothing has been done to either. Drove Uno Turbo all the way from London with no exhaust at all!!! Gave me a headache (can't remember if it was the noise or the fumes) It got dark and the alternator stopped and I had to drive back last 10 miles with no lights! This was 2006 when you could get away with anything!

Lancia Delta HF Turbo, Well, my friend forgot he had it under a cover in his front garden! He told me it was a Gamma, I said no way! Too small, so I lifted the cover and tried to buy it but it was blocked in! So the ONLY way to get it was hire a crane (done that before 5 times! (Datsun 100a F11, Fiat 127 Sport, Fiat Punto, ISO Rivolta Lele, Morris Marina) or 'buy-a-path' (the art of buying every car to make a path to the peach). So I had to buy a Lancia Fulvia (£200), Mazda RX7 (£200), Morris Traveler (£500), Triumph Dolomite Sprint (£200), Triumph TR7 (£800) and a Hillman Minx Estate (£250) just to make a pathway, drove, towed, ragged, dragged, flew and sailed them home, found a weird 50ft square 'box' in his garden, he 'unbolted' a side for the first time in years and years and we counted 9 cars in there as well! Found 35 cars in total at his house! About the tenth biggest collection out of all my friends! My friend Raf still beats most at 125 (down from over 500) though! Sorry got a bit carried away there, err rust, no not really! Would like £1500 for Delta, £1000 for 128 and £800 for Uno Turbo (just to cover costs, storage etc)

It really is pure porn isn't it! What modern plastic pile of crap will ever become a classic with the same amazing styling that this car has? Very Datsun. With a more prominent grill, you would be forgiven for thinking this was some Japanese. Running a 1.5 Brazil engine, Fiat X1/9 seats are IDENTICAL to original so not hard to find, oh it IS a 5 speed already!!! From X1/9!!!! Stainless Steel Exhaust (new) fitted and nice weber carb setup!!! Fantastic news! Cars are still there! Thank you very much for Frank from Avanti Motorsport! Will you turbo her?

No need for a turbo. Better wheels and seats and lowering much more important... though assuming it runs similar setup to a panda a 5 speed box may be in order. I worked for limitededitionsunlimited.co.uk/ for a while so have a strange weakness for Fiats.....
