I very much doubt it. If it did then a Z31 would be a well know about upgrade for an L series.

just checking as a guy from four ways engineering is building a 320bhp 260z and wants a box to cope. Maybe he could swop the bell housing over

Different boxes I think. I had an LD28 powered C32 that had the later style box like Z31/S13 etc but finding one of those now would be very hard.

don't all C32 boxes have the 200sx style gearbox? same gearlever style anyway.
there are 2 different Z31 boxes though aye? N/A and the Borg Warner Turbo gearbox.
doubt you'd be able to swap the bellhousing on the Borg one with any other Nissan box.

Even if its a stroker, is this real bhp ? ;D...anyway, I digress. SR20DET gearboxes can be mated to L6's...there are a few guys already running them and them boxes will take that sort of power easy  I suspect they swap internals into the L box but its well documented on the Z club site |

so then, what might work is... take the bellhousing off of a late L powered car, which has the later nissan gearbox, such as a C32 laurel (possibly a 2.3 vanette as well?) and swaping that bellhousing onto a nissan Z31 gearbox. rather then the Borg one, as thats completely different. or just use a Laurel C32 gearbox.... are these strong? edit. just remembered, Paranoid has taken pics of C32 box compared to "normal" Datsun L series box datsunclubuk.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=gearboxaxleetc&thread=10&page=1 |
