Hello everybody i've just come across the forums here after buying a 120y B210 4door ('77). I have had datsuns before including a 2door saloon B210, a 240k c210 ;D r31 4door skyline and a 4pot c32 laurel. I have previously been a member of the doc and the forums but with datsuns getting so rare I figured the owners club and forums had disappeared off the face of the planet I'm glad to see there's still plenty of interest out there

Wow. saw this pic whilst looking around on here the other day and didn't notice the number plate. i would love to get this back one day. i worked with the guy who did the repairs and stainless bumpers. i bought it off him after he had done the work. he had done the bottom of the door skins and leading edge of the bonnet replaced with stainless, new stainless bumpers to mimic the originals. full respray, lowered over cobra supaslots. stainless exhaust. this was an auto and my mate done the manual conversion too. awesome car. i have some more pictures somewhere.

I remember you and the R31 Skyline - think I sent you a C32 window in the hope that it might fit it? Doesn't look to be around any more, DVLA says nothing on it since 2008. Was the 4-cyl C32 the dark blue one here? Nissan Laurel C32 eBay Medley by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr

I remember trying to find a window for the R31. i bought the car off a lad who was planning on putting it round a banger track. unfortunately the window didn't fit. the car was a south African import with a ca20 engine so relatively undesirable. i sold it for what i paid for it, £200 so i doubt it's still about.
the laurel was also a ca20 so again quite unusual. i had it as a daily driver for quite a while and then ended up giving it to a friend in return for a couple of years workshop space. as it happens i gave it to the same friend who i bought the c210 from. i think it is the one in the picture, am i right in thinking it was the only one on a B plate.

There may have been the odd B-reg C32 with L24E, perhaps they were early examples brought over for evaluation? Otherwise I don’t think any were available on general sale on a B.
Shame it seems like neither the C32 or R31 are still around, if nothing else the CA20 engine in RWD configuration would be a good upgrade for 610/810/910.

i brought the 240k from Taunton Somerset.when i brought it, it had been in a crash and the right front wing was roughly repaired, front bumper bent and bonnet damaged.
i got it a lot better but the interior was well worn and needed a few other bits. new owner is/was replacing the interior with 200sx stuff and swaping the engine for something else. also started replacing the front suspension with 200sx stuff.
i actully brought the engine, gearbox and suspension back off him. maybe i'll get to buy the rest back one day too... ;D
also. i brought a gearbox from a CA20 powered R31 4 door that was getting ready for banger racing. that was southampton/ringwood way.

the guy I sold the 240k to was a good friend at the time, since school. he is the one who had a minor accident in it. some old fella pulled out in front of him. eventually it went to court as the guy who pulled out of the junction later decided it wasn't his fault. my mate lost in court, apparently due to his age, about 21 at the time. It was deemed that he must have been speeding and so his insurance declined to pay out. at the time I was offered the car back for £200. Wish I had bought it. It looked like light damage but hard to get parts. have a shot here of it at the jae, must be 2000/01. have no digital pictures and the quality of the transfer isn't great: have a few more pictures of this but i'll probably upload in the members cars section.

this is my latest anyway: The mamba's were not on it when I bought it. The rears are over 10"wide so i'm having new outer lips machined at the moment to match the fronts and then i'll lower it down. seems to run fine. I had a few issues when the water pump collapsed whilst I was driving it back from Sheffield and punctured the radiator. That's now sorted but now I have gearbox issues I know these cars don't often like to be woken up from a long rest so i'll keep at it. currently trying to find a gearbox

similar story when i bought mine, he had to switch his phone off after giving us 1st refusal. I was told these gearboxes are based on the early ford escort gearboxes so theyre bulletproof but my new box has a whiney 3rd gear and the layshaft bearings gone in the 1200 so ive only had 1 out of 3 thats good
