The local Nissan/Mitubishi used to have a brand specific meet in early August but the owner Russel decided to move it to the local paved race track and run drift cars aaaaand open registration up to anything.. The Datsun turnout for these are pretty small because there was always a parking lot full ( probably 50+ 240sx and 50+ Mitsu evo ) so maybe this will increase the numbers a bit.. Although me and my buddy drove our old rat rod trucks just to mess with the import guys a little bit,,, Show was uber close to us, like 5 miles away.. We met up over by the freeway so we could roll in all together. My truck is the red 55 my buddies is a 46 ... My son was going to drive his 69 Lincoln Markiii but on morning of show it just wouldn`t idle ,, being 3 tons and power everything makes it pretty dangerous if it dies at idle. The color green Ted powdercoated his rims about knocks you on your butt.. Eldo on bags with huge metal flake paint. Big fenders makes good picnic table Show car ,, if you look real close you can see his secret hide-a-key location.. Phixius won best old school truck,, with his tan 521 on Nissan Exterra wheels Teds wheels in my sons glasses And some hillbilly that photobombed Franks trophy pic..

That brings us up to Mikes end of the year BBQ or Datstock ,, it takes place at (obviously ) Mikes house in a town called Puyallup,, lots of places are named after Indian tribes up here in the Northwest and that is one of them... It was about 89 Fahrenheit and the bbq ribs looked like they were off a dinosaur.. Not a huge meet or anything only about 25 locals showed because it comes on the last 3 day weekend before school starts for the kids so alot go camping ,,,Mike and the roadster guys are working on it being a camp out for next year, so those that have to drive farther can more easily make this.. Dash plate indicating this pickup was originally a Boeing airplane plant shop truck when new.. Interior of white NL320 holding the two geezers up above Kids played rock music all day ,, and were pretty dang good and member PumpkinDaves dad drove over in this Finally got member Datwifey to unlock husband Brodys bucket so i could steal a couple of their pics.. Next local meet ( 185 miles away,, lol) is Sept 21st so you guys get a break from our RatDats for awhile.

Good post. By the way, how much is your fuel per gallon (US)? I couldn't make out from the pictures if it was priced per gallon or, like us, is it now in litres? Our fuel (petrol) works out at around £6.31p per gallon (which is 9.98 USD). How do we compare?
PS Just tried to do a volume convertor, as I believe that US gallons are smaller than UK gallons, and it came up with US volume in "cups". Never heard of that before.

Right now the gas price is about $3.69 a gallon ,, it was way down to $3.35 a gallon last week before the latest BS our government has been trying to get us into.. I think if we had to pay $9.98 a gallon there would be alot less pictures in this thread.. I do think imperial gallons are larger but not by much.. It may seem like a bargain to you guys but since it was just under $2.00 a gallon just a few years ago, and over $4.70 last summer at this time ,, we old guys haven`t quite got used to it yet. My converter says there`s 3.78 liters to a gallon and converted dollar ends up you paying £2.33 for a gallon as of today.. or less if you shop around. i got .61 per liter your price... or did i screw up somewhere? current local to me gas prices updated by users,, i see $3.44 at a few stations.. www.washingtongasprices.com/Olympia/index.aspx. We love to road trip long distances and burn lotsa dinosaur liquid over here ,, where we live is very green coastal weather but about and hour east is the Cascade mountains ( running full length of state north to south ) which stops most of the rainy weather.. So basically you can go from rainy green to desert tumbleweed conditions in about 2 hours.. There`s also multiple volcanos that you can drive up to and around and a drive to the beach (which you can drive on) is about 2 hours in the other direction... These times are calculated at 60-70 mph though ( most hiways are these speeds) i'm rambling

I threatened you we guys with posts from Sept but we had a bunch of machinery self destruct and our weekends became full. So no meets for us.. My family owns cranberry bogs,, and i grew up in,, in a tiny little town about 80 miles away on coast called Grayland..http://goo.gl/maps/nacJh So we did cruise down there, and here`s some photographs to prove i aint lying. My son has been there since late Sept. but i only go down to help weekends.. Anyway Went through Aberdeen Wa , I think sign used to say Washingtons seaport ,, before it got changed,,,,, because it was Nirvana lead singer and bassist hometown If you had ever have been to Aberville you would say that Rape Me would have worked also. http://ww And Montesano WA.,,, so what you say?? Well before there was Nirvana there was ,,,,,,,,,,,, THE MELVINS!! :fu: Then went to Grayland to pick some cranberries,, white boxes are fresh fruit like you buy in those plastic bags.. Wood totes are going to be either juice or Craisins Having a balance of power dispute with photobucket right now so bare with the editing. there is a car with it's lights on less than 40 meters ahead in picture we are cruising at just above 104 kph This is how the berries are picked up from field ,, we don't float our berries they are all dry machine picked and put in bags train cart is so you dont have to make road in very soggy peat type soil. FYI,, U.S. child labor laws are pretty grey when it comes to using your own kids, Guy driving cart is my buddies brother Phil ,, and every day he isn`t killed by the other workers for being a complete knucklehead is a feather in his cap.. Then onto Ford F250 because this bog is about a mile away from warehouse. Son 79 A10 Warthog hiding amongst the cedars miles of oyster beds I made my dads neighbor bring his right hand drive 55 Porsche out for a couple pictures. That car was just finished last year after 24 years of him patching panels because it was so rusted out.. Right hand drivers may be common where you guys are but here they are about as rare any car ever. This was taken from just the other side of cart on dirt pile in upper pictures but before they started picking, since he still has skinny wheels on in picture.

i'm just very jealous of that A10 wagon. i can't get over how good and tough it looks yet it's such a simple shape.

My son thanks you for the comments about his warthog. i showed him a while ago but it seems when you guys are the last posters my views go up quite a bit more than when i am.. It was a very nice summer we actually set a record for most days without rain this summer at 80 days.. But don't tell anyone else cuz those Californians are just,,,,,,, right ,,,,,, there. Here's a picture of the mold i washed off before going to a show Saturday. We went up to a event called import fest yesterday, Saturday. Google maps puts it at 155.3 kilometers away but it is mostly high speed flying except around a couple large cities.. This is my story and i'm sticking to it. On our way we go by the Tacoma Dome ,, it is supposed to be the largest wooden dome structure in north America. This is a shot from atop my wifes grand parents grave see that in the distance ?? Maybe the names of a couple English fellows ,, Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding that made up arguably one of the greatest band ever? As indifferent as my sons acted about having a direct relative buried a stones throw away from the legend,,, someday they will probably be dragging their stupid teenagers over to show it off.. We didn't want to pay the $20. entrance fee to park inside so we spent the day with the back lot cheap skates.. This has a differential out of a 510/1600 for the lows This guys user name is Blackdeath666 and it about sums up his rig ,,, notice it was sprinkling a bit A few Toyota guys Last but not least ... After more than 4 years of looking for a burnt orange door for my brothers 510/1600 a guy in a Toyota sold me one out of the blue... Needless to say me and my brother are bouncing off the wall with excitement..

Great pics, thanks for sharing. Keep them coming. Thanks man, kinda thought it would be easier to introduce my/ourselves and our location this way, because the chances of us hitting the windy roads together is probably very small. I think that quite a bit of ideas about our Datsuns are not started because the amount of grief one will get by having it off the road when someone comes up with a spur of the moment fun run or import show infestation. i wish my pictures were as clear as yours are.
