Very nice. There is something really good-looking about the grille of round headlight A10s.
Does this one need much work?

Passenger rear door if anyone can help, usual sills need tidying, rear arches are crusty. Two owners from new, lady since 1987 to when I acquired. Will be doing this to a high standard and putting air con in.

Going to go and collect this over the next few days. I have decided to give my Spitfire to a friend in Slovakia so he is flying over and going to get it up and running so I will be following him in this Violet and while I'm in that neck of the woods, I'll pop over to Ukraine for a ?? ? (cup of coffee)with an old Friend. Going the end of June. Any pointers for me? Auto boxes, are they reliable? What would you take for spares? I will certainly change the fuel pump and check fuel pipes. Will be 3000 mile round trip

I would love to take a driving journey in a Datsun. Sounds like fun. I remember driving 1 of my Datsuns to Wills, though a short journey from London but was very enjoyable especially on the country roads

I'm off to Jersey in my A10 on 4th June for their International Festival . 5 days/4 nights BB&EM in 3-star Hotel with Ferry crossings, Car Show plus two organised tours for........... £399-00. I checked the Hotel and found that just the 4 nights with breakfast costs the same. Right bargain! I'll post some pics in due course.

Please do. Don't you get worried that when parking your car it might get stolen. That's one thing always on my mind about trips in our Datsuns

Don't you get worried that when parking your car it might get stolen. That's one thing always on my mind about trips in our Datsuns The Hotel has been chosen by the tour company as it can provide "secure" parking. In addition to that I have a Tracker fitted datsunclubuk.proboards.com/thread/2886/tracker plus a handbrake lock and a steering wheel lock. I'm sure there are some other more inventive security measures you could take.
I recall a story some years ago whereby a guy in South Africa had several pushbikes stolen. He caught the thief by fitting a spring into the saddle down-tube with a "pointed object" on top. When the thief jumped on the bike it released the mechanism and the "pointed object" pierced the saddle and the thief's nether-regions . As I recall the bike owner got a fine. Not quite sure what the thief ended up with.
I've no idea why I have just told you this story....
