Don't you get worried that when parking your car it might get stolen. That's one thing always on my mind about trips in our Datsuns The Hotel has been chosen by the tour company as it can provide "secure" parking. In addition to that I have a Tracker fitted datsunclubuk.proboards.com/thread/2886/tracker plus a handbrake lock and a steering wheel lock. I'm sure there are some other more inventive security measures you could take.
I recall a story some years ago whereby a guy in South Africa had several pushbikes stolen. He caught the thief by fitting a spring into the saddle down-tube with a "pointed object" on top. When the thief jumped on the bike it released the mechanism and the "pointed object" pierced the saddle and the thief's nether-regions . As I recall the bike owner got a fine. Not quite sure what the thief ended up with.
I've no idea why I have just told you this story....

So I go up to it (White A10) and pay my last installment, sign the logbook etc etc, I have petrol, jump leads and knife (to make a tow rope from a back seat belt of the car I came in if necessary), the car has not been started for two years, I pop the bonnet and the battery is connected, oh dear, jump in, turn the key and it starts straight away! Drove home perfect! In for MOT on monday but will prepare first all the important bits (SSS Steering wheel, Alloys, repair clock, fit twin carbs, chuck a rev-o-meter where the silly BRAKE OIL IGNITION sits) and then see what needs doing mot wise.

I notice Datsun people are always on around midnight! All my life its been steels off alloys on steels off alloys on hundreds of times!! For once I did steels off new steels on! What can I do to lower the revs on the motorway? It is of course 3 speed auto, is there a four (or five) speed box that will marry up without adapter plates etc? What is that grill all about? Many thanks

I have a serious want for one of these. Datsfun has a super cool one with a beast of an engine inside.

To be honest the standard steels painted correctly would look 1000 times better than puff daddy's rims.
And why spend time and money now changing the wheels when the door bottoms and sills etc. are crying out for some waxoyl. Boring jobs first.

Because it gets used all the time for Summer and then will be stripped come winter. Bare shell on this one.
