Looks good. I was going to say put the strips back, but without them it reminds me of the C130 so perhaps keep them off?

Nice job. It looks like the side strips are there to protect from opening doors of cars parking next to you. IMHO I think it looks good with or without them but if I wanted originality AND side protection I'd put them back on.
