Good to see you again here Ricky, and also good to see this car. As mentioned before, it's one I saw up here in Norfolk quite a few years ago and it's great to to know it's still around and being cared for.
Sounds like it's using the engine out of my old car, so now I'm particularly interested :-)

Good to see you again here Ricky, and also good to see this car. As mentioned before, it's one I saw up here in Norfolk quite a few years ago and it's great to to know it's still around and being cared for. Sounds like it's using the engine out of my old car, so now I'm particularly interested :-) Hi, if you in your super library of photos have any of this car I would love for you to post some up. The forum definitely needed one of those good old original threads with photo updates and all others jumping in with comments. Now I have learnt my lesson with YPK and I'm not killing myself again. I will do the little bits that keep my hands nice and soft but any major work forget it. I have driven many L18 engines and own quiet a few. I'm not sure what is going on here but the L18 engine out of YPK is without doubt very very responsive. I'm not sure why but it gives so much more performance than all my other L18 engines and all I've done is changed the sums over. Since having the new engine fitted every now and again the car would stall. When investigating there carb window would show empty. After much turning of the key it would eventually start but this would happen randomly and frequently. Last weekend I removed the fuel tank and cleaned it out. I put a new fuel filter and also air cleaned the fuel lines. She starts fine but needs to test driven. Ive just ordered some parts including a aaaaaaaaaa wait for it aaaaaaaa brand new old stock rev counter. I bet some of you have having flash backs now of my old threads lol Now remember that saying daily driver, then you spend to much money and make them mint and store them, well I'm not doing that. (He says). The rat look is not really my kind of thing but just for this sumner it will have to be. Saying that this car is very very solid with just surface rust no rot. All the inner seals and inner wings have had a lot of extensive work

Thank you thank you. Lots more to come. Today I forgot to take photos however you know when driving older cars you have certain noises that just wind you up. Well I had one. It was the hinges for the bonnet. The arms would you believe are just held on with a very small shaft and a pin clip at the end. I ended up bending the arms for less play and the usual nut and bolt with washers. Next job is remove the alternator as it has noisy bearings which covers up the purrrrrr of the engine and gearbox oil.
Shahtz this one I'm gonna keep well that unless an 810 pops up lol.

Nice one Ricky and let Shahtz know that I have first refusal if you ever want to sell as you had already struck the deal when i called the previous selle and you beat me by minute - You knew the car as you owned it before and all you had to do was but it if the price was right whereas I had to view and check the care etc...... Last saw this when we conveyed together to RR, hope the cut off problem has been sorted and lets have some more photos - Oh what is the progress on the 610SSS is it ready and finished??

So after some harassing emails and phone calls to Will I arranged for some late night shopping. Brand new brake caliper New brake pads Brand new alternator after a lot of hunting OMG brand new never fitted rev counter Don't but I missed place a brand new rear bumper so had to by a second hand one Will polish out well And some other stuff Vw dub mk1splitter Electric fuel pump Air filter Breather pipe filter And the best for last. Whilst looking for gold at Wills I happened to come across these amazing brand new light covers. Rare as hell made by Lucas. It took a lot of work to twist Will's arm but eventually he said yes.
