I own this car for 6 years now, but it became a long term project. It's lowered with 200sx coilovers and rolling on 14x7 280zx wheels. The engine is a seized L18 with a light worked L20B head. Bigger inletports, polished aswell and a big lumpy camshaft. The fuel is going into the cylinders trough twin 40mm Webers. Sadly the engine block is cracked, so it doesn't want to run without a huge fluidleak. I pulled out the engine and now I'm busy with a ca18et engine conversion. The engine, crossmember, gearbox are already in. It has a S12 radiator with Audi S3 electric fans. The next major thing to do is electrics. It's something I am really not looking forward to. I can play with a wrench, with a welder, a grinder and spraygun, but not with wires and other electric bits.. Here are some pics of the car. Dennis

I know, but everytime I come across another temporary toy. Now I'm wheeler dealing a 1986 Daihatsu Charade. Before that I sold the daily starlet for a Volvo 340. And you must admit, that working on a driveble project is more fun then working on a project that has been sitting there for a long while. But it WILL get finished!

the wiring should be very straight forward for this?
the bigger issue will be sorting out the fuel lines as you need a good supply of fuel with an injected turbo engine or it will melt pistons...
i know the SR powered coupe on here has got a s12 fuel tank fitted, dunno if that would work on a saloon 910?

Only the wagon has a diffrent tank, because of the live axel. So a confirmation of a fitting S12 tank would be great!

WOW! an update! I have brought the car to a bloke who knows his stuff with fuelsystems and electrics. His mission: Get this f*cker running.. He made the start this Friday. First up: Modify the fueltank for injection, fuelpump and fuellines. And without the L18 engine having fuel returnlines, there has to come an extra fuelline. The original 6,5mm fuelline will do the trick as a returnline and the new fuelline will be a 8mm line. Here's a bracket welded on a chassisrail for the fuelpump. Fuelpump mounted. New fuelline. Yeey! Progression! :cheer:

looks nice and solid under there too! ;D

Also have you added a suitable relay for the fuel pump switched by the ecu? If not i would recommend it as part of the ecu (cant remember what part it is) tends to burn out, my ecu has been repaired already and i'll be hooking up a relay for my pump.

You will definately need a surge tank if you are using the original 910 fuel tank. The wiring is not too hard on these I've done one or two and I have a diagram which I simplified slightly to aid me.

My mechanic keeps me up to date, so I'll google translate them straight to here. Yes, I'm a lazy dutchie! and again some hours .... more! : P Fuel line into the engine compartment ... Filter, supply and return pipe Some air control, change and put fixed Does anyone know the lambda sensor of S12 is longer? I come here because 30cm short cable between the plug!? Starter, reverse switch, alternator and oil pressure sensor connected. Fuel pump cables under the cover of the pump to the engine compartment and pulled connected. ECU relay connected. The harness is especially designed so that when he S12 through the fender walks inside, so therefore it ff 't fender unscrewed and the harness through superimposed ECU will soon left along the feet against the body to sit.
