it's a long old process isn't it?
doing this for a living and trying to convey how much work/time and therefore money it takes to do a job properly to customers is frustrating.
shows like that awful Classic Car Rescue "restoring" a car in a week just makes it even worse.
anyways. well done for sticking with it. my next daily datsun wont be done anywhere near as well as this.

that looked easy ;D
make sure you get some good paint on it. not sure how good the proper nissan panels are, but when fitting new panels i normally strip off all the black paint and start from scratch. the black paint is usally just a transport/storage coat and i have found surface rust underneath it.

Yes it has very little surface rust so will scotch pad sand it down to metal like I did with the new door I had from Will then go over with some 2k

I've got another dash coming to me on the 20th. The reason for this is because the dash I have now is the late SSS the one with the warning lights. To my amazement they did an earlier SSS dash without the warning lights which is perfect for this 810 as it also is the early model without the warning lights so no messing round. I was very lucky to be contacted Byblos guy called Neil who is supplying this dash to me and its Also in black. I was shocked when he told me what he had and even more shocked it was without the warning lights. Just got to wire up the rev counter I think to the coil and few other bits then also the ice wiring will be one at the same time.
